How to Beat Addiction to Social Media
How to Beat Addiction to Social Media
The addiction for social media has reached to such an extent that some cities have even made text paths for people who keep texting messages and updating status while walking on public roads as well. Everything is good within the limits, but when it takes the form of an addiction, the results are always disastrous. The worst effect with which people have already started suffering is losing physical contact with others leading to depression and frustration in life. It is making people away from the practicality of life and making them so much engrossed in digital world that loneliness of their hearts is leading to sadness.
The first step to check one’s addiction to social media is restrict the number of social networking sites one uses and keep them divided for personal and professional use. There are hundreds of social media sites available nowadays and if one becomes a part of all, it will certainly make his life a complete mess while being completely addicted to it diverting attention from other productive tasks in hand.
Next thing is to remove the clutter out of network. In fact, many people are in habit of accepting friend requests of all and following almost everyone. Sometimes, the reason may be as silly as the friend of the person knows him. This has to be controlled otherwise; social media will lose its real sense in your life as by connecting with everyone, you will reduce the significance of those really known to you. It’s true as the time gets distributed.
The best way is to make a schedule for using social media and set a time limit to it. For example, you can decide to open facebook only thrice to four times a day. It is necessary as by opening every time on hearing the ping of a new message, the whole day goes in checking many useless messages which didn’t make any sense to you.
Last, but not the least, it’s your own determination which plays the pivotal role in coming out of any situation. So, be determined and keep time for every aspect of life rather getting addicted to one.
