China Steps Up Fight against Online Music Piracy
Widespread music piracy in China has been well known for a long period of time, but Beijing is doing ways to restrict undesirable acts of illegally supplying online.
According to National Copyright Administration of China, a total of 2.2 million songs have been taken off from online music programs in China, after the government maintain surveillance over copyright requested the companies that provides its subscribers access to the Internet to eliminate illegal music from their programs.
A person who has a comprehensive and authoritative knowledge in industry says that big internet firms will generally continue the development of legal music, whereas smaller online suppliers that are not capable of paying agreement may make forceful efforts to remain. Over one hundred music websites in China are illegal based on the industry rates. The state of being liked by many people of the mentioned websites has made it hard for companies of music to produce income from online supplier in China.
Up to this time, limited companies have achieved the desired aim to receive Chinese purchasers and clients to pay for music, considering that many Internet users have long been regular to free online entertainment.
