A Ray of Hope

Lord, You are my ray of hope,

As I stumble upon the hurdles in life,

You are The One, who shows me the right road.

When I know not, how to ask for help,

You come forth in grace and show,

Everything I need, I have in my soul.

Lord, You are my ray of hope.

So let this be a prayer, an apology,

For all the times that I have forgotten to

Bow my head, clasp my hands in thanks,

For taking your gifts, so many, for granted,

For choosing wrong, knowing

You wouldn’t approve.

Lord, You are my ray of hope.

No matter what happens, you’ll always remain

The One I depend on, The One I trust,

The One who I turn to, when left all alone.

I seek patience, confidence, love, will and courage,

But more than anything, Lord,

I humbly beseech You:

Never be so far away that,

You cannot send me your rays of hope.
