Globalization and its impact on South East Asia
What does it really mean when we say globalization? Is it a real solution to the problems of the world? The précised definition for globalization is “the increased international or inter-societal interaction.”
Basically, it is a thought that no existence in the world may appear in complete isolation without connecting to other elements of the world, may it be a country, nation, society, people or ethnic group. Therefore, activities of politics and society in one state would also influence other states and societies and probably obtain state feedback. A global free trade, universal and non-state institutions like United Nations or International monetary fund, can be categorized as attributes of globalization. Globalization can be considered as a procedure, an abstract idea or a current attribute of history like war or rebellion.
Globalization is a result brought by the meeting of two significant technological products – the Internet and mobile phone. The existence of these two modern technologies gives an impact to globalization. Those modern products will contribute for the improvements of armed forces services. Their appearance in commercial market, the permanent process of connecting nations, institutions and individuals into stronger relationships with one another and the transformation of online networks cannot be avoided.
The beginning of globalization does not only contribute to economics and society but also protects the states and societies from terrorism. By the use of Internet, the extensive and less advance religious ethics of Islamic racism is widespread to the masses. Violent rebellion has taken huge scale systems between states revolution to make the principal security threat around the globe.
